October 3, 2025 — Pattarapon Wongsin, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Prism Energy, had the opportunity to meet and discuss energy management technologies with the team at Shimizu Corporation in Japan.
The discussion focused on Smart Energy Solutions for future buildings and construction environments, particularly the concept of Smart HEMS — an AI-driven energy analytics system designed to monitor electricity usage behavior from a single monitoring point.
During the meeting, Prism Energy presented its approach to reducing electricity costs caused by peak demand in high-energy-consumption environments such as construction sites and commercial buildings.
The Shimizu Novare team showed strong interest in the concept and raised several in-depth questions regarding system capabilities, scalability, real-world implementation, and potential future applications.
One of the key insights gained from the discussion was the importance of expanding the role of energy monitoring systems beyond simple electricity tracking. The conversation highlighted how future energy platforms could evolve into systems capable of generating deeper operational insights and broader practical value for buildings and infrastructure.
“Speaking with professionals experienced in Smart Building and Construction Technology in Japan gave us a clearer perspective on the future of energy systems. Energy technology should not only visualize electricity usage, but also help buildings operate more intelligently and efficiently.” — Pattarapon Wongsin, CTO, Prism Energy
Although the product was still in its early development stage at the time and no fully deployable hardware prototype was available yet, the opportunity to receive direct feedback from industry professionals represented an important milestone for the future direction of PowerLens and Prism Energy’s Intelligent Energy Monitoring Platform.
Prism Energy remains committed to advancing AI-driven Energy Analytics technologies to support smarter, more efficient energy management for modern buildings and industries.
